The Pre-season has yet to end and the Patriots are already being regarded as a possible "perfect team", Super Bowl 51 losers Atlanta Falcons are only favored 12/1 to start the season and Roger Goodell has suspended another elite level star playing for a top tier team. Got to love the NFL!
I will be touching base on some players that are being overlooked in most drafts and then a few players I would most likely avoid. All of this is based on reports and average draft position in ESPN and YAHOO leagues. Again, these are players that I think have good upside for a low end starter or player stashed on your bench for bye weeks. The players I don't like all have to do with concern for health reasons and offensive systems.
Also, I go way back with Adam Schefter, and he likes to send me updates....shhhhh.
Hopefully these tips and opinions end up helping your team on its way to the championship and steer you away from league embarrassment. These are not the elite players or #1 options on their respective teams, but they all have the potential to out-produce what was projected for them. Sometimes in fantasy football the gambles are the picks that pay off and help win you the league....who likes to always play it safe anyway? Not I.
- PLAYERS I LIKE -
The QB position is very deep this year and I don't really think it's something that you need to worry too much about, but I will give some opinions regardless.
All of these I believe are worth the risk to take at least 1-2 rounds before their current ADP. High Risk. High Reward.
-Kenny Britt, Cleveland
- Tevin Coleman, Atlanta
-Kenny Golladay, Detroit
-Cooper Kupp, LA Rams
-Tyler Lockett, Seattle
-Taylor Gabriel, Atlanta
-Hunter Henry, LA Chargers
- PLAYERS I DON'T LIKE -
Based on their current ADPs and Health
Players that worry me:
Mostly due to younger players taking production or health concerns, but never the less I am avoiding them at their current ADP.
- Ameer Abdullah, Detroit
-Jay Ajayi, Miami
- Delanie Walker, Tennessee
- Giovanni Bernard, Cinncinnati
- Brandon Marshall, New York Giants
